What's Happening!

Alright, so I definitely wanted to update this more than I have been as of late. The truth is, school is kicking my butt. I want to do as much as I can and as hard as I can this last year of Temple University.

Here are two projects I have done for my classes. The first for my videography class where I shot a Bboy (break dancing) event at a video game expo. I focused on style a lot for the video and this is what it looks like:

The second video I have done is for my advanced editing class. We were given footage from the film Eve's Bayou and edit our very own trailer for the film. I was shooting for more of a dark drama so you will see that in my trailer.

Pittsburgh Shoots

Was in Pittsburgh for the first time from Thursday morning til Friday night. First time there and people told me don't expect much. It was actually a nice place. A lot of rivers and the skyline was beautiful. I was at a hotel right across the river from the city so I was right there. I am a die hard Philadelphia Eagles as I am from there, so I started a lot of crap with the Steelers fans. The shoots went well, a lot of great women, shot about 9-10 models in the two days. The weather was ehh... Went from really hot and sunny to overcast to storms. Very random weather.

Check out my buddies web series called the Ist-List, it is a table discussion show talking about movies and films. A lot of fun! http://www.the-estlist.com/

In Chicago for the week

I arrived in Chicago last night until monday to shoot models. The reason y this week is because the Jr. Nationals show is here this upcoming weekend. I will break down the show by types of girls we are shooting:

Bodybuilding- these are the gurls bigger than guys, sometimes on roids and ripped, not my favorite type. Luckily at this show theres few of these.
Fitness- These girls are skinny and feminine, but do have some muscle, they are good at routines like gymnastics for example, these girls I like
Figure- Thetse girls are really lady like, really just beautiful girls with muscle tone or in shape, perfect for me. These are my favorite.

So far todays (tuesday) the shoots were great, pretty girls but rain sucked, looks to rain a lot all week which isnt fun for us.

My first wedding...

2 weekends ago I went to a friends wedding. She asked me to video tape it and make a quick little party video like I always did for parties in the past. I did, left the formal stuff to the professional videographer. Btw, he was an old guy with a crappy panasonic dvc60. He lit the reception up everytime he wanted to shoot the dancing with his bright flood lights, make my shooting harder, my dvx100b doesnt need lights.

Anywayz, I shot more than enough so decided to mke a 15 minute wedding video myself. Enjoyed editing it a lot and got great responses, lets just say lots of crying :)

For a documentary I was doing for school, I interviewed Preston & Steve on the topics of radio and technology. For those of you who don't know, they are part of the Preston & Steve Morning talk Show from WMMR of Philadelphia.

Very cool people, people you can just talk to like there nobodies. Had a great time there watching their show and then interviewing everyone.

Slumdog Millionaire...

To be honest, heard of slumdog millionaire for past month or so but really had no interest, well until friend began telling me to see it and I did. Amazing... music was amazing, story was great. What I loved the most is the authenticity in it of India. I don't think I really think I ever saw a movie true India so this really did that.

On the video front... I have been doing event videos for streettalkin.com so I suggest you check that site out... Its everything thats popping in Philadelphia.
